Many workouts promise to prepare your body for the beach – but this one is unique. Why? Because most programs of this sort focus solely on your lower body, while this one focuses on your total body. Performing a series of full-body routines that steadily increase in intensity over the course of six weeks will help maximize caloric burn and help you truly look great for beach season.
This 42-day program, developed by Scott Herman and Sean Seaberg, combines four days per week of equipment training with three days per week of rest or cardio exercise. You begin each workout with light stretching, then move to a treadmill, elliptical machine, or stationary bike to warm up. Next, you complete sets of exercises that grow increasingly challenging as the weeks pass. Following this, you perform a routine that focuses exclusively on your abs. You finish up with 20 to 30 minutes of cardio.
