Standing Scarecrow

This exercise will help sculpt strong shoulders. Keep shoulder blades down throughout the move, and your elbows in line with your shoulders.

Standing Scarecrow
  1. Stand with feet shoulder-width apart, holding a dumbbell in each hand.
  2. Form a goal post with arms, so elbows are out to sides at shoulder level, forearms pointed toward ceiling, palms facing forward.
  3. Keeping shoulders down and elbows level, slowly lower forearms until they're at shoulder level in front of you.
  4. Pause, then press forearms back up to goal post position.
