Cable Triceps Pushdown

This exercise with a standing cable machine primarily targets your triceps. It also works your shoulders, chest and back. To maximize the effect, lean forward slightly as you drive the weight down.

Cable Triceps Pushdown
  1. Stand facing a standing cable machine.
  2. Grasp a high pulley with your palms facing each other.
  3. Place your hands side by side.
  4. Position your elbows to your sides.
  5. Your arms should be no higher than your chest.
  6. Push your upper arms straight down by your sides.
  7. As you do this, turn your palms so that they face the floor.
  8. At the bottom of the motion, squeeze your triceps. 
  9. Slowly return your arms to their original position.
