Naturally Ripped

Put a burst in your buff, sans supplements and gimmicks, with these organic tips.

Use free weights.
Dumbbells and barbells allow you to use a full range of motion when you perform an exercise. You’ll also recruit neighboring muscles, which will help you remain stabilized and balanced, compared to if you use machines only.

Take two-in-one.
D Make large, compound movements, such as a reverse lunge into an overhead press, a staple in your workout program. This will engage more muscles, keep your metabolism elevated longer, and allow you to burn more calories per workout.

Do supersets.
Switch back and forth between one set of chin-ups, followed by one set of squats with a barbell and plate weights, rather than doing consecutive sets of one move. You may be able to do more reps because you’re allowing your muscles to rest, as you work a different part of your body.
